Your votes count in the 2018 Group Travel Awards
It’s that time of year again when we ask our readers to vote for the tourism supplier that has given you the best service over the past 12-months.
Every vote really does count as it is the supplier with the most votes that is the winner in each category. We know that there are hundreds of suppliers that you can vote for, and this means that the difference between winning the award or being runner up may only be a handful of votes, so it really does matter!
Why VOTE in the Group Travel Awards?
There are many outstanding tourism suppliers who work hard to ensure they offer groups the best service and experience that they can. The Group Travel Awards, established over 21 years ago, provide you with a way to recognise and recommend the suppliers that have excelled for your group.
What your VOTE means
Travel trade suppliers are very grateful to receive your vote as it is a testimony to the services they create and the work they do to make sure they offer groups a great experience.
What happens next?
After we have counted all the votes we will release a list of finalists – and these are the suppliers with the most votes in each category. This year, for the very first time, we will also publish on-line a list of every supplier nominated by readers. It will reveal the diversity of suppliers in many categories that truly do specialise in welcoming groups.
How to VOTE
Our 2018 categories are listed below, and you will find enclosed with our November/December GTO issue, a form to fill in with the names of the suppliers you recommend in each category. You can also vote on this website. The closing date for return of the form or voting online is Friday 26th January 2018. Two readers will be chosen at random from all those who vote, one from those who return a form by post and one from those who vote online, and they will each receive £50 in Marks & Spencers vouchers.
In addition to the awards that readers vote for, Val Baynton and the editorial team also review the places we’ve visited over the last year and nominate a handful of suppliers for special awards. These are typically places that are new, are innovators in tourism or are a ‘little treasure.’ We also select the winner of the Outstanding Individual in Group Travel, and this is an individual of standing in the group travel and tourism sector who has made a significant contribution over many years.
‘That your readers consider us to be delivering a high standard of service and a day out that their members enjoy above others is praise indeed.’
‘Stunned! That’s how we felt on the night – it is the staff who are the real gems – they go out of their way to make guests’ holidays a very personal experience. The award means so much to them.’
‘It is so rewarding to see that the work that goes into welcoming group visits is appreciated and enjoyed by so many.’
